My Night With The Townhouse Swinger Lifestyle Club

My Night With The Townhouse Swinger Lifestyle Club. This weekend has probably been my most intense and hedonistic yet as a swinger!

I have been to two events, both held at the Townhouse. The first, Allure under 39s, hosted by Cheshire Kink and TheSexPistols_Townhouse and the second A cabaret Swinging Party, hosted by Vicky and Jim of The Townhouse.

Although the club has been the same, the two nights couldn’t have been more different, and this review will spill the beans on what goes at The Townhouse In Wirral.

So, shall we?

What is The Townhouse?

An unassuming, former pub located just off a busy road in Wirral. From the outside, it looks scruffy, uninviting and uninhabited. However, once you step through the gate, you are immediately immersed in a world of pure indulgent luxury.

With its high ceilings, plush carpets, bold decor, and sumptuous seating, it’s like stepping into another world upon arrival.

Leaving the dreary cold night behind, warmth and charm envelopes you as the hosts and staff welcome you.

Where is The Club Located?

The club is located in Tranmere, Wirral and is easily accessible by car and by public transport. There’s a large car park directly opposite, and the website gives really clear instructions on the location and how to reach the venue. This is especially useful for first-time swingers and single women who may feel nervous about arriving at an unfamiliar venue. The website also lists hotels local to the club and shares details of the nearest stations.

Who Visits The Club?

The Townhouse is popular with couples, single girls and single guys for a good reason. Although it is a swingers club, it attracted people from all areas of the Ethical Non-Monogamy World. I met polyamorous couples, a lesbian polyamorous couple, T-girl couples, Bi couples and several people in open relationships, but attending the club as single swingers.

In fact, there were so many different types of ‘swingers’ that it must mean they were doing something right!

I visited on a Saturday night, and there were about 40 couples, 10 single girls and 7 single men.

Did I Feel Safe As A Single Woman?

On the night I visited, there were about 10 single girls, a few of whom it was their first-ever visit to a swingers club. Understandably, they were nervous about attending, but upon arrival, they realised that; to quote one woman, ‘everyone is so normal, why didn’t I do this sooner?’

Although I am an experienced swinger, as a single woman, I found the fact that there were so many female members of staff reassuring.

They know exactly how it feels to be apprehensive and nervous, but along with giving you a guided tour when you arrive, they also look after you throughout the night. They walk you to your car and are more than happy to organise a taxi for you.

How Were People Playing?

The guests at the Townhouse were making full use of the club’s facilities, and it was great to see couples exploring different scenarios. There were a lot of couples swapping with other couples and lots of exhibitionism. There was a heavy focus on socialising before any swinging took place, and many people were chatting, playing and taking time out before playing again.

Overall it was a very laid back night. I didn’t feel pressured or like I was being pestered to play at any point.

There was a lot of full swap happening in the upstairs rooms, between smaller groups of couples.

What Facilities Are Available?

One of the great things about the Townhouse is that it offers a huge amount of facilities, all under one roof.

They cater for people who enjoy kink and BDSM and have a fantastic range of dungeon equipment, including a bondage wheel, St Andrews cross, spanking benches, fucking benches, stocks, and cages.

There’s also a hot tub, two private playrooms, two sex swings, a couples-only area, an orgy bed, a gyno room; complete with authentic chair and equipment, a huge dance floor with a stage and a pole, a gorgeous bar and a lounge.

So. If it’s variety you are after, you have come to the right place!

I think the amount of BDSM equipment could prove a little off-putting to some first-time swingers or those who aren’t into the kink scene, but you are under no obligation to use any of the equipment! There are plenty of other spaces available for playing.

Costs And Membership

Townhouse offers membership for men, women, singles and couples, and it is £10 per person per year. They don’t penalise single guys when making a membership by charging them more. To become a member, you do have to apply, and if you are a single guy, there is, of course, a verification process.

When I spoke to the owner Vicky, she told me that for single guys to attend their events, they have first to attend their free non-member nights, where they are introduced to the club and shown the facilities so they can get a good understanding of what happens and what is expected.

Then if you are approved, you can apply for your membership and then purchase tickets.

Single male tickets are limited for events to ensure there is a good ratio of single men to women and couples.

To purchase tickets, you have to go online and view the events they have on offer. On the night I attended, couples were paying £25. Single guy tickets were £30, Single females, T-girls and Non-Binary tickets were £10.

Be prepared to bring your ID with you, and have your Covid pass or prove you have done a lateral flow test before the event. All covid regulation information can be found on their website.

What Else Do They Offer?

The night that I attended was a ‘cabaret swingers night’, and a live Burlesque performer did an extremely sexy show! This was a great talking point and got people mixing, mingling and chatting. As well as performance nights, they also offer events midweek and on the weekends. These range from Pure play events; where the emphasis is on playing pretty much from the get-go, to Clusterfuck, popular with people who enjoy gangbangs, Rock nights, Fetish Nights with Live Demos, and Live music nights as well as couples only events.

However, this is just a snippet of what The Townhouse offer. Check out their website for the details in full.

Who Wouldn’t I Recommend This Club For?

Unless you are prepared to put in some effort, this club isn’t for you.

You don’t have to have a perfect body or be a certain ‘type’, but you must follow the protocol when applying for membership and be sociable when attending.

Also, it’s worth noting that they do have a dress down rule, and if you want to play upstairs later on in the evening, be prepared to be in your underwear, a towel, or sexy lingerie. If this isn’t your idea of a great time, then the club probably isn’t for you.

Do I Recommend The Townhouse?

If sociable swinging is your thing, then you will love The Townhouse.

It’s great for swingers who like variety to their play and offers so much all under one roof. If you are looking for a club that is upmarket, welcoming and gives you the full package, then Townhouse is for you. You have to be picky about which night you choose and make sure you understand what the night entails before buying your ticket.

Will I Be Back?

I’m particularly keen to revisit Townhouse, especially for one of their kink nights or kink social events.

What Makes This Club Different?

Townhouse have thought of everything.

The website is excellent, the venue is impressive, the staff are attentive, and they run a tight ship. Members are recorded, so they know exactly who attends what events and when. They have their dedicated Taxi driver who will pick you up and drop you off (I used this service, and it was great), they have wetrooms, lots of changing facilities, a fantastic bar and most importantly, amazing members.

Come and get involved on social!
