Should I Take Sex Toys To Swinger Parties?

Should I Take Sex Toys To Swinger Parties? My Immediate response to this question is a big hell yeah! But, that may be because I am a fan of both sex toys and swinger parties. The thought of the two of them combined, at a strap on filled soiree, fills me (love a pun) with pure joy! But what if you are new to the scene and haven’t even thought that far ahead?

Or perhaps, you have been to several parties but are curious about taking along something a little extra to your next meet? Maybe you want to use some toys with a couple you are planning to meet, or want to use them on one another whilst at a swinger party? As ever, when there are a lot of swinger related questions, there’s only one woman who has all the answers! So, it’s time to talk about all things sex toy with me, thiskindagirl! For this post, I have joined World Of Risque, You can discover more about them at the end of this article.

Sex Toys For Swinger Couples

Now I have a whole article dedicated to sex toys for swinger couples that goes in-depth in explaining the ins and outs (yep, another pun) of what toys are best for recreating the swinger experience at home. (yes, really the swinger experience at home) Check it out here! Sex toys for swinger couples.

However, if you are in a swinger situation, perhaps at a club, or private event, there are a few ‘must-have items that you really should consider taking along.

These items can be used in both larger clubs and smaller intimate settings like private parties, but do be aware; you may not be able to plug in a wand at a larger event (I explain why later). Interestingly, when I was researching this post, I read a thread left on a forum by a couple who had met another club at a club who had brought along their extension lead… that’s some serious forward planning!

Double Ended Dildo

I must admit, I love to be on one end of a double-ended dildo! They are a lot of fun, and if you are a bisexual girl like me, then you can have some very intimate sex with other women when using them. However, you don’t have to be bisexual to enjoy a double-ended dildo. MF couples can also use them, especially if one end is in the women, whilst the man performs oral sex on the other end (just a suggestion). I prefer the ones that are really soft and flexible, as you can get in all manner of positions with them.

Remote Control Toys

If you are part of a swinger couple, then using a remote-controlled sex toy whilst in a club is very exciting. Or you could use one whilst out on a swingers date! Go hands-free and let your partner give you waves of pleasure whilst you sip your drinks and make sexy swinger small talk! I like using a remote control toy in a swinger party situation as it’s a very intimate way to be connected to your partner whilst swinging! Imagine being brought to the edge of an orgasm, whilst flirting with other couples!

Waterproof Vibrators

Now, Ladies, I don’t need to tell you that swingers clubs can be very hot and steamy environments, and if there is also a hot tub, pool or jacuzzi, then I’m sure you will want to have a skinny dip in there! (don’t forget your towel) If you do, then taking a waterproof sex toy such as a bullet vibrator can be a lot of fun. I do have two favourite designs, which are both available from World Of Risque. One is the Rocks Off Bullet, and the other is the Satisfyer Sparking Darling Vibrator. If you fancy checking them out or any other products World Of Risque have on offer, use my link, and you will receive a 10% discount!

Strap Ons

I have a whole article dedicated to strap on sex and the many wonderful ways they can be used and enjoyed by all, so if you want to get serious about strap ons, do check it out. I have used a few different strap ons over the years when in swinger situations, and here’s what I’ve learnt; the less you have to fiddle around with it, the better.

Now, you can spend out on a good quality harness and strap on; one that is easy to adjust and holds the dildo in place firmly. You can use a strapless strap on; easy to slip inside you both and stays in place, or you could use a jockstrap style strap on that is already attached to the harness. Whatever you choose (let the receiver choose the actual dildo), strap ons can make a great addition to any swinger play session. They can, of course, be used by men and women and women on women, in all kinds of scenarios!

I will say that when S and I have used strap ons during our swinger sessions, it has generated quite a lot of interest from other couples and single women, so be prepared for some onlookers. If this is not your ‘thing’, maybe enjoy it in private? I have always been happy to share my knowledge about using strap ons and do let other couples join in that are curious. However, hygiene is really important, and I only allow them to use the harness or jockstrap style toys.

Glass Toys

Glass dildos are quite exciting, as they can be used in heightened sensation play. They can be heated gently or chilled in the freezer to provide the receiver with a stimulating experience. Now I wouldn’t recommend using them at a large party, because if you do want to use them chilled or hot, you might not be able to do this. (you can’t ask to put it in the fridge behind the bar!) So, if you are considering taking one along, a smaller private party may be better suited! They are hygienic and easy to clean, so they are great to use with other people!

Vibrators

From bullet vibrators to Hitachi massager wands to clitoral stimulators, vibrators need no introduction! There are so many different types available, and if you want something small that can easily fit in your handbag, then a mini vibrator with bunny ears can be perfect! You can, of course, take along something larger or more ‘industrial’, but for me, I find a small good quality vibrator is perfect! Plus, I don’t like to be fiddling with buttons when I’m getting down to it, I just want something easy to use and powerful!

Floggers, Paddles and Restraints

If you have a favourite flogger or are passionate about a particular type of paddle, then, by all means, take them along! You can use them in a swinger club on one another, but do be cautious about using them on other people. We all have different expectations for BDSM style play and unless you have had a prior discussion beforehand and understand everyone’s limits and safewords, then involving others in this type of scenario requires a cautious approach! I feel the same about restraints, nipple clamps and anything bondagy. Playing with couples who do enjoy BDSM is popular but best reserved for specialist events or clubs. Your regular swinger party attendee may not be so excited to get down in the dungeon with you, if this is something they haven’t experienced before!

Male Masturbators

You may think that this is a strange one for me to include, but some MF couples enjoy their swinging by watching their wife or girlfriend with another person or couple. Voyeurism is very popular in the lifestyle, and the person watching may have no desire to join in on the action; they simply want to watch. A masturbator can be a great way to pleasure yourself whilst enjoying the view!

What Sex Toys Can You Expect To Find In Swinger Clubs?

Some clubs come complete with sex toys or sex paraphernalia that people in attendance can use. All clubs are different, and some have a more extensive range of items than others.

Clubs With Specialised Areas

I can’t speak for all clubs here (I wish I could), but from what I have experienced, I can safely say that spanking benches, st Andrews Cross’s, shackles and glory holes are all popular in the swinging world! I know they aren’t strictly ‘toys’, but they are equipment that you wouldn’t usually have at home.

One product that does feature in quite a lot of clubs is the sex swing.

If you haven’t experienced a sex swing, then I suggest you try one out! Since they need quite a lot of room to be used properly, unless you have a dedicated playroom, they are not the type of thing that many couples have at home. So when you do see one in a club, I recommend you try it out!

Next on my list of sexual paraphernalia is a Sybian sex machine. Again, not the kind of thing you keep under the bed, these machines do feature in some clubs, and they are quite a popular feature in specialised private hire BDSM dungeons. They can be used by men and women and offer a very intense experience!

What Sex Toys Not To Take To A Swinger Party.

A few items are perhaps not best suited to a swinger party due to their design or purpose. Although it pains me to write this, (I love all the sex toys all the time), I have to give you realistic advice!

Plug-In Toys

As I mentioned earlier, plug-in toys are amazing. However, they are not suitable for larger parties as you can’t guarantee you will be able to plug them in where you can easily use them. Plus, some are quite large and bulky to have in your handbag! They are more suited to a smaller gathering in a house, hotel room, or apartment where the swinger action is likely to occur in the bedroom or lounge. I would avoid taking them unless you had asked the host beforehand if they could be plugged in easily. Unless, of course, it is your own party, then you can plug in and play!

Toys That Are Hard To Clean

The great thing about sex toys is that most are easy to clean and easy to use. The majority are quick to wash with hot and soapy water and toy sanitiser. However, a few are not suited to be used in swinger situations where you are likely to swap partners. Anything that features a ball that unscrews, for example, an anal hook, will prove problematic. You could use a condom with one, but the condom may struggle to stay on due to how the toy is shaped. I love the anal hook I have, but it needs extra care and attention when cleaning as it’s quite fiddly, so my advice is to leave your hook at home! There are loads of other stainless steel sex toys that are easier to use, such as this metal but plug.

Electric Shock Stimulation Play

Now, you may be thinking, what kind of person casually whips this bad boy out of their back pocket? Well, let me tell you about a guy I met on a date a few years ago (interestingly, the guy was an electrician). The date had been quite normal, dinner, drinks and chat about various swinger clubs we enjoyed. Towards the end of the night, I noticed the guy was fiddling with something in his hand.

‘what is that?’ I asked; I foolishly thought it was a novelty lighter.

‘Oh, this?’ he replied,

‘It’s an electric shocker; I use it on women in clubs’

I didn’t see him again.

Using Sex Toys Safely In Swinger Clubs

I’m sure I don’t need to tell you that using condoms on sex toys is a smart move! Especially on toys that are inserted. If you choose to swap sex toys (some women have asked to use my strap on), then always use a condom and clean and sanitise it before and after use. I have found that the head of a wand can easily be covered with a condom, so if you do decide to use one, rest assured you can still have safe sex!

Water-based lube is always recommended for sex toys as it can be used on any material. Plus, it feels lovely to use and doesn’t feel ‘sticky’.

If you are in a club and want to use a strap on, I completely understand that you may have clean play concerns. Again, using a condom and having tissues nearby is a smart move. The last thing you want is to be concerned about bodily fluids being dripped on others! I know this sounds graphic, but it is something you should consider before you start playing. I understand that sometimes having anal sex can make you a little nervous, so it’s best to be prepared. Having hand sanitiser and tissues close to hand is just good practice! If you are wanting to take things one step further, then performing a water enema is not a bad idea either.

Top Tips For Using Sex Toys In Swinger Clubs

As with most things swinger, there are a few etiquette rules that should be followed when using sex toys; the last thing you want is to make one of these mistakes!

  • You don’t have to bring all your sex toys in with you, especially if you have a few or are unsure about whether you will feel comfortable enough to use them. The last thing you want is to be sat there with a bag of dildos! I suggest leaving them in the car, or some clubs can provide you with a locker!
  • Make sure batteries are new or toys are charged before you start playing! Recently S and made this rookie mistake! We couldn’t believe our error! It was very frustrating indeed! Never assume that they still have charge!
  • Remember to clean and sanitise your toys before packing them away. If you have used a strap on with a harness, or something with PVC components, give them a gentle wipe with some mild disinfectant before putting them away.
  • You can buy small ‘travel’ sized lube bottles that are perfect for attending parties and will fit tidy into your bag.
  • Take plenty of condoms! Especially if you have a selection of toys! I recently discovered this fantastic find, a large box of condoms.
  • Always ask for other people consent before engaging in any sex toy filled playtime! We all have different boundaries, and some women can be a lot more sensitive to touch and pressure than others!
  • Double-check with the event organiser of what toys you can take with you before you attend. From experience, most are allowed, but they may not want toys that are too ‘hardcore’.
